Chris Brierley
Chris is the Senior Stakeholder & Impact Advisor working at the Energy Systems Catapult (ESC), which is one of 10 centres based across the UK that are independent, not-for-profit organisations aimed at bridging the gap between industry, government, academia and research. Energy Systems Catapult was set up to accelerate the transformation of the UK’s energy system and ensure UK businesses and consumers capture the opportunities of clean growth on the way to Net Zero. ESC does this by taking a whole-systems view of the energy sector, helping to identify and address innovation priorities and market barriers, in order to decarbonise the energy system at the lowest cost.
His role encompasses: stakeholder engagement, impact reporting and wider communications. Previously he was the Innovate UK funded Active Building Centre’s Head of Corporate Affairs where he led a team covering policy development, government & industry engagement, event management as well as all aspects of ABC’s communications and marketing. Chris brings with him a wealth of communications and engagement experience from a variety of backgrounds.
