Scott Armstrong, Chief Operating Officer at Planet Mark 

Scott is passionate about corporate sustainability and supporting businesses in lessening their impact on the environment.   

He has worked in the energy and sustainability sector in the UK for 29 years; spending 10 years working on the supply side, 10 years in energy and carbon risk management consultancy and the past nine years directly managing the carbon impact of Bourne Leisure (the parent company of Butlin’s, Haven Holidays and Warner Leisure Hotels), one of the UK’s largest privately owned businesses. At Bourne Leisure he oversaw a 43% reduction in their carbon footprint during his tenure as Head of Energy and Sustainability.  

Whilst on the supply side he championed energy reduction strategies with the corporate clients of Elf Business Energy and Powergen in the early years of energy deregulation in the UK.   

Scott is a Fellow of the Energy Managers Association and has worked closely with the EMA in recent years as a Board Member and until 2022, as non-Exec Chairman.
